Good Old Fashion Living

My Energy Free Dryer…….Growing up as a child on the East Coast……we never had a gas dryer…..this is how we did it……actually I never had a gas dryer…..until my first child was born……before that it was the laundromat on Saturday mornings……Now that I am older & more appreciative of life…..and conserving energy…….if the weather is nice…..some of my laundry goes on my clothesline……in retrospect I never heard my dear Mother,Elizabeth complain..about hanging clothes on the clothesline…..or in our indoor pantry on cold winter days…..which back East that is all winter…..it was just a way of life back then……I can still picture her at the kitchen sink…..humming a tune & washing the dishes…she was our dishwasher….our dryer….this brings tears to my eyes..now as a adult….with all the modern appliances I have…..but in honor of all you done for our Family….with never a complaint…..Mommy I Love You Forever…..P.S. Do they have clotheslines in Heaven……..Love Your Daughter…..Little Maggie <3

Monday Morning Thoughts

Monday Monday So Good To Me.....Californian Dreamin Oh Such A Spring Day.....Yes the day after Sunday...the 2nd day of the week & a start of a new week for many....back to work,school & reality.A new day , a day full of Sonshine....His Love,His Presence,His Timing. As many of you know that yesterday May 12,2013 was Mothers Day...A day full of laughter,love & Family time. I was the Queen For A Day.....hey I am not complaining....I'll take it....to me it was not only a Hallmark day,it was so much more, a day where I reflected about the Mother I was blessed to have for 18 years & being a Mother,Mommy,Mom & myself put it all in perspective .....I so enjoy being a Mommy....my calling in life...not only to be a Mommy to 6 thoughtful & unique individuals .....yes 4 sons & 2 daughters....I was also called to be a Pre K teacher for many years.....also a Sunday school teacher....a Mother figure to many of my childrens friends & a Gramma,GG,Grammy & a Nana....To say Motherhood is a job is indeed a understatement....but a ultimate Blessing....One that I will cherish forever.To me I have received the ultimate gift....something that $$$$ cannot buy. So today & everyday.....Smile,Be Blessed & Be Fed <3

As Mothers Day approaches I want to honor the memory of my dear & beautiful Mother....Today,Yesterday & Forever...My Mother's spirit will continue to live on through me....not a single day goes by that I do not think about her & reflect on her kind nature, her smile,her love for her Family & for others.Also her strength & dignity through everything she had to endure through her fight.Well Mom..thank you for loving me until the end....also for mixing my milk with vanilla flavor,reading in bed with me the autobiography of Eleanor Roosevelt.Old Yellar...etc & taking me in town to have lunch at the counter at Woolworths & letting me blow bubbles through my straw & not getting upset....for always seeing the best in your daughters.You would tell me my smile would light up the world.....for 18 years you were my world....you giving birth to me gave me the chance to be a loving Mother to 6 amazing & beautiful children that they never had the pleasure of knowing you,but through my memories I feel & know they are a part of your legacy & love.Always I honor you & love you.Until we reunite in His Holy Presence.Love Your Baby Girl Maggie XOXOXO

Afternoon with Claire & Ivy.....Tea For 2 and sometimes 3

As you can see my heart sings pink. Yes I am blessed with 6 amazing Granddaughters & this afternoon,I had the pleasure of being in the company of Claire & Ivy.....such a sweet afternoon delight....tea party,a little tap dancing lesson,from dancer Claire to Gram.....heel toe etc ( just to cute ),lots of tickles & giggles,songs sang & to top it off a game of Candyland ( Claire style ) . What a joy for a slightly damp afternoon.Claire & Ivy....Gram Loves You Both To Candyland & Back XOXOXO

I wanna be a cowgirl :-)

Yes today....I added a patch to my quilt....I went horseback riding with Dave. Oh I was so excited I could hardly contain myself,this is a patch I have wanted to add  to my quilt for some time & actually I feel I am I cowgirl at heart....dusty boots & all.....I actually would prefer to think of myself as a horsegirl....since I did ride a horse not a cow. Through trails & valleys.....this ride was awesome, Molly my horse was very kind & careful & when I had to buck her under belly I felt awful & I apologized over & over again....she was forgiving & actually told me my buck was very gentle.....whew. Well Molly girl thank you for a ride of a lifetime & I feel I am already up to my next giddy up.....So I will be dusting off my boots & be waiting for my next ride.

Friday Morning Thoughts.....As I sit here blogging & my mind is wondering.....My ears are happy to hears the sound of birds chirping.....the sun is already shining....Thank You Jesus For Another Glorious Day :- )......Give Thanks To The Lord.....Yes HIS Love Endures Forever....Give Praise. Tonight is Bunco Night ( Yeah ) a Friday night sure to be filled with lots of laughter & I am sure some tears, as one of our Bunco girls is going through some very trying times.....But we know our God is good & faithful to his word.....so tonight as we get together Cinco de Mayo style ....we are sure to make this Friday night a extra special one....chips,salsa,& I am sure margarita's . Then tomorrow its giddy up time...horseback riding with my girl Autumn Elizabeth Rose.....gather up & dust off your boots & do not forget your hat.....for a good time....yee haw :-) .....So today take the time to enjoy the splendor of the birds chirping....the sun shining & For Our Sonshine Jesus .....Hugs XOXO
