Lots & Lots Of Greetings…..Today….I was in the mood to purge…purge….paper trails…….this was not a easy task…..having 6 kiddos…..you end up with lots of memories throughout your house…..in every nook & cranny…..doing this can make any Mommy well up…….homemade cards…..store bought cards…….even bookmark cards……reading….touching……and yes smelling..the cards…..truly reminds this Mommy…..how very important these cards .have become…..they are a part of my kiddos being….every named signed……I loved when they would write…..your son Christopher…..etc……yes 6 kiddos …that is a lot of greetings…..from their hearts to mine……With All My Love Your Mother Maggie & to Christopher…Momdalena…

Just another Blogging Monday....

Just another manic Monday.....wish it was Sunday.......Bloggings thoughts on a sunny & slightly breezy Monday.....as I sit here blogging,the wind chimes are making a joyful sound.....washer is humming a whole different tune. My morning started very early for me 4:30 am.....I have not been up this early in ????? I ponder to myself....so this is what 4:30 am looks like.....hmmmm...Gave the doggies some fresh water.....let them out to do their business.....went on facebook....the only folks on were my East Coast buddies.....3 hour time difference......thought about sewing & thought again toooooo early for the rest of the Family.....thought about taking a walk....but I wasn't quite sure & decided not too. Weekend was busy.....in the process of a minor backyard redo.....planted some sunflower seeds.....bought a new cover for the patio.....more fabric for my Summer Collection of totes :) my first collection at that.....I simply love them all & hope to be able to part with.....coming to a Etsy near you.Had a most endearing phone chat with one of my dearest friends Lori Gardner Oneto.....partner in crime.....Hoping & Praying she will make it out for our 40th high school reunion.....yikes 40 years.....40 pounds & 40 whatever......40X&O's to my Family,Friends & Foe's

A Splashing 8th Birthday For Ava......

Wow.....what a splashing great day for Ava who was turning 8.Pizza,Salad,Chips & Lemonade......Topped it off with a Birthday Cake. Swimming & Splashing.....was on the agenda.....for cute little girls.....giggling......giggling......did I mention giggling.....so innocence.....so sweet.......& so splendid.....too be young again......Happy Birthday Sweet & Funny Ava.....

Wednesday Words Of Wisdom.......

Wow.......Words Of Wisdom........Wow.......Wonder......Wise......Worthy.......My Grams used to tell me do not take any wooden nickles.....hmmm wonder what she meant by that......maybe do not be fooled by fake foolish people,things etc ! My Sweet & Funny Grams.....so full of wise little sayings & songs......I can still hear voice reciting me poems,songs & stories to me......bore a hole,bore a hole.....clap you hands to Daddy comes home.....Daddy has money & Mommy has none...Look up there see a little bird.....look down there & see a little ( you get it ) I so loved & adored my Grams....a sweet little lady....wearing her high heels & carrying her pocketbook around.....I think the song should of said that Gram has money & Poppy has none.......We all need Wisdom during our daily living....If you need Wisdom-if you want to know what God wants you to do-ask him,& he will gladly tell you.He will not resent your asking......James 1:5.......God,Our Father.....I am asking you for wisdom,not only for me but my loved ones.....Understanding,Patience & Guidance.....Thank You. FYI......The saying do not take any wooden nickles.....comes from The Great Depression which My Grams Barbara Marie Kraus Brittingham was a part of......It means to be cautious.....Yes Grams I am cautious.....I love you & miss you dearly.

Monday Monday.....So Good To Me......

A fresh start to a new week.......weekends are fun & sometimes exhausting......but truly treasured times. Two of our Granddaughters spent almost the entire weekend with us......Ava & Morgan.....swimming,splashing,eating,painting with watercolors & watching Nana sew......I am almost obsessed with sewing.....Vintage looking totes,as you can clearly see,they have now become my passion......sewed with special people in minds.....each one made with love...by me.Now I am on the lookout for vintage looking fabric......The flowers in the vase ( salsa jar ) are from my rose garden,the yellow one's have such a sweet sweet smell......On a down note we have serious problems in our downstairs bathroom......roots have come up from the ground to invade the commode,toilet,john.....whatever one calls it......we cannot see the roots.....but the plumber could.....yikes....we have a more detailed plumber coming to hopefully fix the problem tomorrow.....I just hope this is not a major job & hopefully it will not be mucho $$$$$$$$.So Be Blessed  & Smile ......

I got the month of June

My girls.......Ava Estella & Morgan Ashlyn......Talk about my girls. Today we had the pleasure of having Ava & Morgan over.....for swimming,eating & painting with watercolors......A simple Saturday afternoon.....full of splashing.......eating watermelon,ice cream sandwiches,corn dogs,chips & good old fashion ice tea ( Lipton ).....Such a special day for a proud Nana & Pops.......& Guess what they are going over tomorrow too......Simple Sunday To Follow....

Thursday Morning Thoughts

Thursday Morning Thoughts......Oh yes......A day of sunshine.....birds chirping.....sirens roaring.....chimes making a blissful sound......Ears to hear.....eyes to see & hands to touch.....God's Blessings always ceased to amaze me. This week has been quite a week......Hubby got a speeding ticket....yes at 60 years old..one would think he would know better.....next morning he woke up to go to work & the speeding red miata was broken into.....they took the barely working radio...in the process destroyed the dash. My daughter Melissa's friend Mother loss her battle with ovarian cancer ...the same horrible disease that took my Mothers life.....my heart is breaking for her.....only knowing all to well what she is going through.....but rejoicing that she completed the race.....On a brighter note.....My sweet Ava will be starring next week in Peter Pan.....playing the younger Darling girl....so excited to watch her perform....that girl has talent. Also I hope this week we will make a trip up north to see my Charlotte Rose.....Nana misses her so. Well friends enjoy Gods Blessing & remember to enjoy life's simple blessings.....XOXO
