A Day At The Fair......

Nothing spells f u n like a day at the San Diego County Fair.......food of all sorts.......funnel cake being my favorite & a close 2nd.....homemade potato chips....oh so scrumptious......carnival rides for kids of all ages.....The one man band was awesome....a little bit of Neil Young......and others.....so talented.....A must to see & listen too. The farm animals.....were such a joy to see for this girl....who grew up in the suburbs of Delaware.....Gosh I remember going to the Harrington Fair as a child with my Family as a child & a huge boar getting loose.....My Mother & I took off like a speed of lightning....to say the least.....but these childhood memories will be etched in my heart forever.....and now to get the pleasure of the SDCF with my granddaughters,was such a pleasure to see Claire's excitement was priceless....she enjoyed every bit.....especially the rides.....quite a little dare devil......thrills & laughter......was part of her day & Gram.....savored  every moment......Ivy was still a bit young.....but she was a trooper.......So much excitement for our nation of our Family.....always some sort of memories being made.......God Has Certainly Blessed Our Family......We have been through many triumphs & sorrow,,,,,,,But HE has been our constant....our Provider.....our Hope.....

Summertime Walks

What isn't to love about Summertime walks around the lake.....A time for reflections.....thinking......praying.....watching nature at its finest....through the beauty of ducks & their ducklings....beautiful & elegant birds.....their legs pranced so precise.....gliding through the lake.....catching their feed & also ...the humans .....jogging.....walking.....bike riding families.....fishing & just enjoying the enchanting Summer evenings.....To say......I love & enjoy Summer is a understatement.....but ask me again when we reach double digits.....Nature......Enjoy PS......A special book to read to children & grandchildren.....Make Way For Ducklings.....Another Favorite Book Of My Kiddos....

First Day Of Summer Fun.....Blueberry Picking......

What a great day to kick off Summer......Blueberry picking in our own town.....Temecula......Bunco girls & our kiddos.....granddaughters etc.....even a Hubby tagged along......how fun & oh how yummy.....fresh blueberries from Temecula's very own blueberry company. One couldn't help but sample a berry or two.....scrumptious & yummy......hopefully the berries will end up in muffins or maybe....yummy morning pancakes ,this weekend. The gang so enjoyed this early morning get together.....farm animals....tractors & of course blueberries.....The sun was up & smiles of sunshine......were all on the kiddos faces.....This is something I plan on doing again......If anyone gets a chance please check out the book " Blueberries For Sal " A childhood favorite of my kiddos.......

Happy Birthday To My Sissy.....Roberta Brittingham Sideris.....

Yes that's my Sissy aka Roberta....but to our Family she is our Sissy & we all love & adore her.....so funny & kind.......Yesterday Sis turned the big 55 years.....double nickles.....speed limit........etc.....& what a fun day it was....Old Town San Diego was our destination....for fun & frolic.....2 GG's on the go along with their daughters & granddaughters.......Hola,
 Mexican food was on the menu & alot of it......maybe  a little too much.....but who can eat just one tortilla chip....not the two GG's we ate our way through probably 2 baskets & salsa.....ole for us.....after lunch a stroll through Old Town San Diego.....for some window shopping ........& picture taking.....The evening ended with a girls night at Pechanga ......but I was one tired GG & I opted out......But the Birthday week continues......Next month Maggie GG turns 58 big ones.....Big Wheels Keep On Turning Proud Maggie Keeps On Burning Rolling Rolling.......Down A River......

To Dance With My Daddy Again...

To Dance With My Daddy Again.....Memories of a little girl.....named Maggie. I ask myself.....What is a Daddy ? To me a Daddy is someone who loves you for just being you.....who tells you that you sing prettier then the Lennon Sisters....who takes you & your Sisters to the New Castle Farmers Market.....takes you ice skating in the winter....when its cold.....brushes your long golden brown hair....who makes pancakes on Sunday morning's....lets you play waitress in the 1950's kitchen....who during March makes homemade kites & also takes you to fly them.....up high & higher....who plants a evergreen tree & names it Maggie's tree....And also a Father who loves you so much & gives you away in marriage.....but always calls you his baby girl....Daddy I miss you....every waking moment....but I was willing to let you go....to be free of pain & suffering & to be reunited with your wife Elizabeth......our Mother forever.....Until we are reunited in his Holy Presence.....I love you & Happy Daddy's Day XOXOXOXOXO Waiting to dance with you again <3

TGIF.......Thank Goodness Its Friday......The F words.....Family...Faith.....Flowers & Fun. I love my Family & having Faith in our Heavenly Father.....makes it all possible.....Thankful for the flowers that grow in my garden of life....Feelings that consumed my heart......its just the little things that fill it....chats with my children...my sisters....my Mother in law....my granddaughters.....my hubs & first & foremost my Father ( Heavenly ) HIS ears are always close by...for my fears...my tears...my laughter & my heart.....He is not only my Father....but my confidant....my friend....my All In All.....Thank You Jesus for filling my cup & for blessing me for my Faith,Family & my Friends.......Its Friday.....Enjoy
